A vibrant new platform for arts and culture is launching in Ubud, Bali. Ubud Art Ground will be open from July 11 to August 10 at Gudang Kayu, Batu Kurung Estate, showcasing a dynamic fusion of tradition and modernity.

Under the theme *Parallels: Legacies in Flux*, this exciting exhibition features 50 artists, including renowned names like I Made Djirna, Satya Cipta, Made Wianta, and Kemal Ezedine, alongside emerging talents from Bali and China. It’s a unique opportunity to witness a rich dialogue between heritage and contemporary expression.

Yulia Kurniawan, Director of Yayasan Satya Djaya Raya, explains the vision behind the event: to create an inclusive space where artists, enthusiasts, and communities can come together and nurture a sustainable artistic ecosystem.

Spread across a sprawling 5,000-square-meter area, Batu Kurung Estate dedicates 2,000 square meters specifically to art and cultural spaces. Yuanita Sawitri, Director of Ubud Art Ground, describes the venue as a welcoming public space designed for immersive engagement with diverse artistic performances and exhibits.

The *Parallels: Legacies in Flux* exhibition journeys through the vibrant traditions of Balinese visual arts, like the Batuan and Kamasan painting styles, and contrasts them with the fresh, contemporary ink painting heritage from China. Expect a captivating blend of past and present, craftsmanship and innovation.
