Bali United is back in the transfer spotlight ahead of the 2025/2026 Super League season, bringing in a fresh face to bolster their squad — local goalkeeper Dikri Yusron Afafa. Straight from Gresik United, where he played last season in Liga 2, Dikri, 30, is set to step in to fill the void left by Rakasurya Handika, who recently parted ways with the club.
Although his recent experience stems from the second tier, Dikri’s football journey spans top-flight fields as well. His professional debut was at Persib Bandung during the 2012/2013 season, and over four years in Bandung, he carved out a solid foundation before moving to Sriwijaya Youth in 2016/2017.
Following a season with the youth setup, Dikri earned his promotion to the senior squad in 2017/2018. After a stint with Sriwijaya, he transferred to Badak Lampung FC for the 2018/2019 season. His journey then took him to Persik Kediri, where he spent considerable time and made a notable impact, racking up 68 appearances, his highest tally. In 2024/2025, he briefly joined Madura United before moving to Gresik United in Liga 2 — and now, he’s set to wear the Bali United colors.
Despite a 13-year career, Dikri has often been a squad guy, making 83 appearances with an impressive 25 clean sheets. His most prolific stint was with Persik Kediri, cementing his reputation as a reliable netminder.
Bali United’s CEO, Yabes Tanuri, shared insights into the club’s decision to sign Dikri. “Dikri Yusron fits the tactical needs of our coaching staff this season, and we believe he will adapt quickly to our team dynamics,” he stated through the club’s Media Officer on August 1, 2025.
Yabes expressed optimism, hoping Dikri’s presence would bring positive energy and help the team achieve new heights. Notably, Dikri’s football journey also includes representing Indonesia at the U-19 level in 2014, adding valuable international experience to his profile.
