Bali United Signs Goalkeeper Mike Hauptmeijer from PEC Zwolle

Bali United has officially signed Dutch goalkeeper Mike Hauptmeijer, who stands tall at 190 cm, from PEC Zwolle. The club introduced Mike as their new player on Monday, June 30, 2025, and has secured him with a two-season contract.

Yabes Tanuri, the Chief Executive Officer of Bali United, stated that Mike’s recruitment was a recommendation from coach Johnny Jansen, with whom he previously worked at PEC Zwolle.

“We are excited to announce the addition of a foreign player in the goalkeeper position. After discussions with the coaching staff, Mike Hauptmeijer was chosen for his exceptional skills between the posts,” Yabes Tanuri said, as quoted from the Bali United website. “All administrative processes have been completed, and we hope he adapts smoothly and contributes to Bali United’s success,” he added.

Although Mike was under contract with PEC Zwolle until 2027, an agreement between the two clubs facilitated a smooth transition, ensuring no future complications.

Mike is a former goalkeeper for the Netherlands U-20 national team and a product of the PEC Zwolle Youth Academy. His arrival brings the total number of foreign players in the Serdadu Tridatu squad to five. Prior to Mike, Bali United also signed another Dutch player, Thijmen Goppel. The other foreign players include Brandon Wilson from Australia, Joao Ferrari from Brazil, and Boris Kopitovic from Montenegro.
