The potential of Indonesia’s halal industry sector is immense and holds the promise of becoming a significant driver of economic growth. This insight was shared by Dr. Sapta Nirwandar, Chairman of the Halal Lifestyle Center Indonesia, during the World Islamic Tourism & Trade Expo (WITEX 2025) held in Selangor, Malaysia.
While the opportunities are vast, turning this potential into reality faces certain hurdles. One of the main challenges is the difficulty in fostering collaboration and synergy across different sectors.
