Today, Sueta addressed the attendees at the Technical Guidance, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Public Information Openness (KIP) for public agencies. This event was organized by the Information Commission (KI) of Bali Province in collaboration with the Communication and Informatics Office in Gianyar, held at the PLUT KUMKM Building in Bedulu. Representing the Head of the Gianyar Communication and Informatics Office, Sueta emphasized that this technical guidance is a strategic step towards completing the Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) for the 2025 Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Information Openness. This tool is vital for gauging the compliance level of public agencies in carrying out KIP duties.
“The SAQ serves to evaluate the consistency of information services provided to the public, assess the implementation of public information service standards, promote the fulfillment of citizens’ rights to easily accessible information, and ensure the availability of accurate, truthful, and non-misleading public information,” she stated in a written statement on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Sueta further noted that completing the SAQ encourages transparency and accountability in information management, fostering good governance that is clean, effective, and efficient. Equally significant is the feedback provided regarding the implementation of public information openness in public institutions.
She also expressed her appreciation to the 15 public bodies in Gianyar that are committed to participating in the Technical Guidance. This illustrates a collective spirit to further strengthen the ecosystem of public information openness in Gianyar.
“I hope this activity will not merely become a routine SAQ filling process but will be seen as a moment to stimulate continuous improvements in public information services,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of KI Bali, I Putu Arnata, stated that the evaluation aims to measure the compliance level of public bodies in implementing public information openness. “Filling out the SAQ and conducting evaluations will help identify and inventory issues that arise in the implementation of Public Information Openness, as well as inform KIP policy-making,” he explained.
