InJourney Wins BUMN Track Award at Hospitality Training Event

PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero), widely recognized as InJourney, has achieved the prestigious Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan (TJSL) & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award 2025 from BUMN Track. InJourney was awarded the highest accolade (Platinum) in the Corporate BUMN & Tbk Social Pillar category for its impactful InJourney Hospitality House (IHH) program.

Herdy Harman, Director of Human Resources & Digital at InJourney, describes IHH as a collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing Human Resource development across various tourism destinations. This program emphasizes hospitality training for local communities and business operators, particularly in the five Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP) and areas where InJourney operates. IHH caters to traders, rental drivers, micro-enterprise operators, and local tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis).

“As a state-owned enterprise, InJourney strives to deliver added value to the community through its TJSL programs. These initiatives foster value creation through an integrated business strategy, known as Creating Shared Value (CSV), reinforcing InJourney’s role as a development agent. By focusing on enhancing community capacity through IHH, we also support President Prabowo Subianto’s vision of achieving an 8% economic growth rate through the development of Indonesian Human Resources,” Herdy stated in a written press release on July 3, 2025.

Moreover, the program aims to promote authentic Indonesian hospitality, aligning with InJourney’s vision of a Sustainable Tourism Economy. “We also aim to enhance the capacity of tourism stakeholders to support the execution of international events, such as the Grand Prix of Indonesia GP in Mandalika and the F1 Powerboat and Aquabike Championship at Lake Toba,” he added.

According to Herdy, IHH is part of InJourney’s long-term strategy for developing superior human resources, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4 (Quality Education) and aligning with the Vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 for human resources development.

InJourney acts as a strategic holding entity and orchestrator within the tourism sector, balancing its role in value creation and development. The IHH program was specifically designed to foster talent in the tourism industry as a manifestation of the government’s objectives.

The program includes comprehensive training for tourism professionals focused on service attitude, communication skills, cleanliness, and presentation. Utilizing a fun learning approach, IHH encourages community members and business operators to participate in a three-day job training course.

Each training batch accommodates 50-60 participants, guided by Local Heroes—talented individuals from the DPSP and tourism areas. By the end of 2024, IHH had trained 3,768 participants across 18 districts and cities, conducting a total of 61 training batches led by 12 Local Heroes. Training sessions take place in regions where InJourney Group operates, including Lake Toba (North Sumatra), Borobudur (Central Java), Mandalika (West Nusa Tenggara), Labuan Bajo (East Nusa Tenggara), and Likupang (North Sulawesi). In 2025 alone, three batches have already taken place: June 18-20 in Labuan Bajo, June 24-26 in Lake Toba, and June 24-26 in Borobudur.

Herdy emphasized, “IHH is a tangible expression of InJourney Group’s commitment to sustainable community-based tourism development. It also underscores our long-term strategy of building superior human resources in line with the Sustainable Development Goals for Quality Education, supporting Indonesia’s Vision for 2045.”

Thanks to the IHH program, InJourney proudly received the TJSL & CSR Award 2025 from BUMN Track, securing the highest recognition (Platinum) in the Corporate BUMN & Tbk Social Pillar category. Additionally, InJourney’s subsidiary, InJourney Hospitality, was honored with the Strong Commitment CFO on Social and Environmental Program of TJSL & CSR, earning Gold in both the Social and Environmental Pillars for the State-Owned Enterprise category.

InJourney expresses gratitude to BUMN Track for this recognition, highlighting it as an appreciation of the TJSL initiatives within InJourney Group. “As a state-owned enterprise, our responsibility extends beyond achieving excellent performance; it encompasses giving back to both the environment and the community,” Herdy remarked.

Thendri Supriatno, Chairman of the TJSL & CSR Award 2025 Assessment Committee and Founder & Chairman of the Indonesia Corporate Forum for CSR Development (CFCD), noted that the award reflects the company’s commitment to excellence. “The TJSL & CSR Award 2025 serves as the highest form of appreciation for state-owned enterprises and their subsidiaries that have successfully adhered to best practices aligned with the four SDG pillars: Social, Economic, Environmental, and Legal Governance,” he concluded.
