Koster-Adi Arnawa Dismantles 48 Illegal Structures at Bingin Beach

Bupati Badung I Wayan Adi Arnawa accompanied Bali Governor Wayan Koster as they oversaw the demolition of 48 illegal structures at Bingin Beach, located in Pecatu Village, South Kuta, on Monday (July 21, 2025). The demolition process is expected to take approximately one month.

Koster emphasized that these buildings were constructed unlawfully on land owned by the Badung Regency Government, not on private property. He asserted that such violations cannot be overlooked, as they threaten Bali’s future. “We are not against protecting workers; rather, we stand firm against disorder. When rules are disregarded and government assets are misused, this cannot be tolerated. The Bali Provincial Government will form an audit team to investigate tourism permits throughout the province, taking decisive action against violators in accordance with the law,” Koster stated following the operation.

Meanwhile, Adi Arnawa assured that the demolition procedures at Bingin Beach adhered to standard operating protocols. The Badung Regency Government has already sent written notices to the building owners. “We have followed all procedures and issued three written warnings. Today marks the final day for compliance, leading us to execute the demolition order from the Bupati,” Adi shared.

He also expressed his intention to engage in dialogue with the workers affected by these demolitions, planning to hold discussions once the demolition process is complete. “Rest assured, I will not abandon our people. I will open a dialogue, but that will come after we finish this task. We will approach this step by step. The head of Badung’s Satpol PP conveyed to me that we hope to complete this within a month,” the former Badung Secretary concluded.
