The countdown is on—Squid Game Season 3 is coming to Netflix! While Jakarta got to experience the giant doll and jump rope games in malls, Seoul is gearing up for a star-studded parade to celebrate the release of the final season.
In collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Netflix is organizing a grand procession featuring the main cast of Squid Game 3, including Lee Jung Jae. Fans can also expect to see iconic characters brought to life—think the pink-suited guards, Young Hee sporting her brand-new costume, her boyfriend Chul Su, and maybe even hundreds of people dressed in green tracksuits complete with player numbers.
This special Squid Game 3 parade is part of Seoul’s travel week calendar, especially designed for global Hallyu fans and tourists currently in South Korea. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 6th.
According to Korea JoongAng Daily, the parade kicks off at 7:30 PM KST from the Gwanghwamun area and will march all the way to Seoul Plaza. At the final stop, attendees can catch the grand finale event featuring Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, and Wi Ha Jun, with director Hwang Dong Hyuk also in attendance.
Can’t be in Seoul? Don’t worry—you can experience all the excitement live on Netflix Korea’s YouTube channel.
Mark your calendars: Squid Game Season 3 premieres on Netflix Friday, June 27, 2025.
After some mixed reactions to Season 2, this latest installment promises to be even more gripping. The New York premiere last week was met with thunderous applause for its first episode.
“I promise, this one won’t disappoint,” director Hwang Dong Hyuk told the press.
The episode’s intense storytelling and heightened drama have critics raving, noting a depth of emotion and stunning visuals that surpass what fans saw in previous seasons.
